In the context of RubyFICA, Rubynet (Pty) Ltd acts as an Operator (data processor) on behalf of property practitioners who are the Responsible Parties (data controllers). The property practitioner determines the purpose and means of processing; we provide the technology platform that facilitates that processing.
We process personal information only for the purpose of assisting property practitioners with their FICA compliance obligations under the Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001. We do not use personal information for marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to FICA compliance.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, or damage. Individuals whose personal information we process have the right to access, correct, and (subject to FICA retention requirements) delete their personal information. Requests should be directed to the Information Officer.
